Association of Texas Professional Educators
2:00 PM | Breakout Session 2: The Virtual Events Journey: Successes, Challenges, and the Future
Andrea Elizondo’s Bio:
An experienced meeting professional for the Association of Texas Professional Educators with over 15 years of experience, all of these years being spent as an Association Planner. Andrea has planned and executed end to end, board meetings, committee meetings, leadership retreats, and annual conventions. She has been an active member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Texas Hill Country Chapter, most recently serving as the VP of Finance for the chapter’s Board of Directors, as well as a member of the Texas Society of Association Executives (TSAE). Until the pandemic, she never had to plan a Zoom meeting, let alone an annual convention. Her team successfully converted the annual convention for nearly 900 attendees to a fully virtual interactive event for over 1,500 attendees in eight weeks. She currently lives in Hutto, Texas with her husband and four-year-old son. She also has a stepdaughter who is a senior at Texas State University. She enjoys time with family, binging the newest thing on Netflix, and attending rock concerts with her husband (she seriously can’t wait until this can happen again).
